How to Match Your Brand Style in Every AI Graphic

Two tall Reel graphics side by side with the same layout

The hard part of a brand style isn't choosing one. It's hitting the same one again next Tuesday. Your last Reel graphic landed: white caps across the top, the can dead center on a wet floor, a swirl of color behind it. The next one comes back looking like a different brand.

You don't have to describe that look again. Upload the old graphic as a style reference image, and IllumeAI copies it onto the new one: the layout, the type, the light, with this week's product in the frame.

Start With One Post You Already Like

The field takes one image. Not a folder, not a mood board. One. So pick the post that looks most like the brand you want to be, not the one that got the most likes. A screenshot of it is enough.

Bad references have a tell: three competing colors, four layouts in one frame, a carousel screenshot with everything crammed in. The model reads the whole picture, so a busy one gives it mixed instructions. If you're torn between two posts, use the one with fewer colors.

Nothing worth copying yet? Pick a built-in style once, generate until something feels like you, and use that image as your reference from then on. A house style can start as somebody else's recipe.

Add Your Product, Then Ask for the Graphic

The reference handles the look. Your product goes in separately, as a context image. The generator takes up to three of those, so the bottle, the cap and the label can all make it into the frame. Then write the prompt the way you'd say it out loud:

Graphic for Instagram for the uploaded product.

That works. It works better once you tell it what the graphic has to sell, because a Reel cover with no message is just a nice picture:

Graphic for Instagram for the uploaded product. Big headline: new isotonic, out Friday. Orange background.

Choose the tall, full-screen shape for Reels and Stories, ask for four variants, and keep the one that still reads at thumb size. Notice what the prompt doesn't say: no fonts, no layout, no lighting. That's the reference's job now.

One catch worth knowing. Most references have a product of their own in them, and the can from last month's post can wander into this month's. Those four words at the end of the prompt, for the uploaded product, are what keep it out. Say them every time.

The graphic generator, with the magenta bubble gum post attached as the style reference and the isotonic bottle added as a context image. The prompt says what to make and what it should say — the look comes from the image alongside it, not from the words.

Put the new graphic next to the one you pointed at and you can see exactly what travels. The headline sits in the same place. The product stands in the same spot on the same wet floor, lit from the same side.

Want a straight photo of the product rather than a graphic with words on it? The same trick works in the product photo generator, where your product gets its own upload slot and the reference sets the light and palette around it. Here's that walkthrough.

One Reference or One Built-In Style, Not Both

Attach a reference image and the built-in style clears itself. Pick a style and the reference goes. That's deliberate — two competing looks would pull the image apart.

The rule is easier than it sounds. Use the style library for a look you want to pick. Use a reference image for a look you want to match.

Once one is working, leave it in place and change only the prompt. Same reference, four posts, one sitting. That's the difference between a grid that reads as a set and a grid that reads as a pile.

Find the post you liked most this month, then open the graphic generator, drag it into the style reference slot, and make Friday's Reel graphic match it.
